In few days the doors of Taktons 2009 will be open to all the competitors and visitors.

        Based on received material there will be a variety of things to hear on Taktons.

Registered material, in the total length of 8 hours, 31 min. and 50 seconds, is very promising.

        We would like to remind all the competitors, who didn't sent their material on CDs to bring them with when they come to Novi Sad. This year we introduced an experimental way of registration via an FTP server based on a recommendation of the Slovakian radio. Some of the competitors took advantage of this new way of registration and all that material is now considered registered, but the final, official reproduction of the material will still be presented via a CD or DVD so all competitors are required to bring their original material on CDs or DVDs and present them to Taktons management.

         We are reminding all the jury members, who's names are listed on our Taktons 2009home site, to be present on the first meeting. This presentation will explain how thematerial will be juried and rated, which will be traditionally presented by Matjaz Culiberg. The jury meeting is set to be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2009., at 16:00 in the Novi Sad Radio, address Ignjata Pavlasa street 3.

         On this meeting all non-jury member sound engineers are welcomed.

Welcome to the 12^th taktons

From 11^th to 14^th November 2009

Radiodifuzna ustanova Vojvodine “Radio-Telavizija Vojvodine” is organizing 12^th TAKTONS at its traditional place, in the premises of Radio Novi Sad.

The aim of the competition is to get an insight into the achievements in sound recording during the past two years and give professional evaluation of technical quality of the sound recordings based on ahead set, uniquely defined partial and impartial parameters. Improving quality achieved in the field through creative application of the contemporary technologies, both in radio and television, is a duty imposed by the profession. The competition may significantly contribute to promoting of program production among radio and television auditorium, while at the same time it represents a remarkable challenge leading to improvement of knowledge and skills of all program creators.

During the competition, renowned equipment producers, for both radio and TV, with their presence open possibilities for “Taktons” participants and visitors, alike, to familiarize themselves with latest devices, both at boots and in workshops. “Taktons” has an advantage: it provides both for competitors and exhibitors with possibility to try out and hear the equipment operating in real acoustic conditions since “Taktons” is taking place in Radio Novi Sad studios / (studio space).

A selection of speeches gives the participants insight into the newest technologies in sound recording, whereas the immediate contact with audio masters is the ideal opportunity for exchange of experiences. This is a place where young operators can learn what they have always wanted to know and never could ask.
